Overseas Velama Association

OVA is a non-profit organization established on January 11, 2019, dedicated to the advancement of the welfare of the Velama community scattered across the globe.

The most vivacious Overseas Velama Association (OVA) is designed to connect all local Velama community groups across the globe steadfast in serving the community.

OVA also facilitates networking; fosters cultural and social activities; patronizes student assistance; offers assistance in the marriage formalities among needy including a helping hand in finding suitable life-partner for individuals; actuates dedicated assistance to the needy senior citizens; and champions perpetuation and prelation of Velama community cultural heritage across the globe.

Mission

Empowering the Velama community, promoting overall prosperousness of individuals and families by means of: Ensuring that no individual from the community is left out for lack of means to flourish. Facilitate networking opportunities. Dedicated assistance to our elders and infirm. All other assistance to clear the way for prosperity of Velama individuals and families.

Vision

Integrate all Velama organizations across globe while aiding in the perpetuation and prelation of Velama cultural, regional, linguistic, and religious traditions.

Pelli Sandadi is a marriage assistance program that provides supplementary support to the needy Velama families. Anyone willing to support marriages among the needy can donate, monetary/nonmonetary through OVA.

Community Assistance

Until OVA comes up with its own permanent infrastructure exclusively for providing services to Velama senior citizens OVA continues to support all our needy elders, wherever they are stationed, with the most required of essentials.
